Why Freedom From Gambling exists
Stopping the gambling matters. But it isn't always the whole answer.

Some people stop gambling and still feel restless, disconnected, or unsure how to rebuild their lives. Families are left with their own questions: Can I trust again? How do I set boundaries? Where do we turn?

Too often, people are handed a single recommendation without help understanding how the pieces fit together. Freedom From Gambling was created to offer something different: a thoughtful place to begin, practical guidance, and help navigating the resources that may be right for you.

Common questions

It's okay not to have all the answers.

Can I get help if my loved one refuses support?

Yes. Family members can seek guidance for themselves, including help thinking through boundaries, communication, financial concerns, and their own next steps—even if the person gambling is not ready to participate.

What happens during the free 20-minute call?

We'll briefly discuss your situation, explain how FFG works, answer initial questions, and explore whether a comprehensive assessment makes sense. It is not a clinical evaluation or a complete recovery plan.

What does the paid assessment involve?

It is a more in-depth process across multiple meetings, intended to understand your circumstances and create an individualized guidance and resource-navigation plan. Scope and fees are explained before you commit.

Does FFG replace therapy or treatment?

No. FFG offers nonclinical coaching and recovery navigation. Where appropriate, your plan may include referrals to licensed mental health professionals, medical providers, peer support, or residential treatment resources.
